As autumn’s veil thins, the Brighton-based gallery will summon the spirit of revered street artist Richard Hambleton with MEMENTO CARNE - an exhibition and ritual gathering where canvas becomes flesh and art becomes apparition.

Timed to mark the day of Hambleton’s passing, eight years ago, the title of the show twists the famous Renaissance reminder memento mori (“remember you will die”) into memento carne - “remember the flesh.”

This exclusive and strictly invite-only gathering will resurrect the haunting legacy of Hambleton - the Godfather of Street Art - who painted with syringes of his own blood, creating soul-stirring flowers and emotive bloodscapes.

Private View: Wednesday 29 October, 6-8pm
9-10 Jew Street Brighton BN1
